Primetime Emmys 2013: Reality Check – ‘The Voice’ Knocks Off ‘The superb Race’

For the primary time since the creation of the simplest reality-competition class, a singing competition won the award tonight. The Voice — aka, the singing competition NBC bought once it lost the bidding war to urge Simon Cowell’s The X issue — became solely the second non-The superb Race series to win this class.
